If it weren’t for the sweet reward of a tax refund, many of us probably wouldn’t be filing our taxes at all this year to avoid the headache of leafing through physical and electronic paperwork. Luckily, there’s a new dating simulator that’ll help folks figure out how to avoid these headaches. Arcade Spirits is a fun romantic comedy that serves as a love letter to all things video games, and it’s sure to leave players grinning from beginning to end. The game also lets players date whoever they want, which is just great. So if you’re looking for a dating sim filled with characters that are just as passionate about animals as you are, then you can’t go wrong with Best Friend Forever. The player controls a customizable protagonist who moves into the small town of Sun Haven and starts a farm.
I Love You, Colonel Sanders
There are only a few times where the game will even break pronoun usage, which is fine. On top of it all, the player can have multiple spouses so long as they have multiple homes to take them to safely. In later games, their spouses can also keep track of their children or show up in different areas to bring the player gifts. It’s very cute, and there’s even a stat on there that keeps track of if the player has been gay, straight, or bisexual in that particular run.
The story follows Florence, a 20-something-year-old woman who’s searching for her place in the world. She comes across a musician named Krish as he plays his cello in the park, and the sparks begin to fly. Dream Daddy puts you in the role of a single dad who moves to a new town with his teenage daughter and meets a whole slew of dateable dads.
I am very interested in this game but the price is very expensive for me…. Doing several romantic interactions while on an outing will change the outing scenario into a date scenario. Sometimes it requires sufficient relationship in order for a date to be accepted.
Gameplay will take players just under ten hours while the choices you make will alter the storyline narrative. As a result, there are a few different endings you might get with this game which means there’s some replay value here if you’re interested in unlocking all of the game endings. Another visual novel you might find of interest is Everlasting Summer. This game is centered around an ordinary young man named Semyon. One day when Semyon falls asleep on a bus during the dead of winter, he awakens to a hot, bustling summer. Now located in a camp, players will have to interact with the different NPCs to figure out what is happening.
This clever twist on the dating sim formula also supports multiplayer, leading to interesting clashes with friends over who gets who, inevitably serving unwanted high-school flashbacks. Along the way, players will be kept laughing by its absurd branching events and self-aware humour. Stardew Valley may seem like an interesting choice here as it’s a farming simulator game. The title was developed as a spiritual successor to the old-school Harvest Moon franchise.
In Panzermadels, you can cuddle up to a M4 Sherman or dance the polka with a Panzer IV (just don’t step on her treads). The game also offers mini games and has many dad puns.Dream Daddyhas multiple endings for each dad the player meets, as well. Metacritic gave the dating sim a 72, with a user score of 7.5. Unlike other visual novels, however, the player truly gets to be themselves in the game because there is in-depth character customization, and there are no «right» or «wrong» choices. Along with dialogue options, there is also point-and-click gameplay that involves interacting with objects and people, and sometimes there are quick minigames to play as well.
Players are able to customize their character, with the game offering 7 datable dads. There are also different personalities the player amor en linea can meet — a goth dad, a teacher, a bad dad, and others. Yes, I know dating sims and visual novels aren’t the same thing.
Originally a single game, Fantasy Tavern Sextet was divided up into three games for the Switch, each featuring two of the six love interests. In this game, you play as a cook for a maid cafe who finds himself pulled into another world. This other world hosts all sorts of fantasy creatures and the main character has no way to return home. Although very dark, Collar X Malice is a phenomenally written story with fantastic artwork by Hanamura Mai. The music, including Japanese alternative rock band Plastic Tree’s opening, is a lot of fun and very fitting for the story.
Synergia is more of a visual novel where players are thrown into the future. Here players are following a police officer named Cila who has trouble connecting with anyone outside of her new household android named Mara. It’s after Mara’s creation that Cila begins to find someone, or something, to connect with, but not long after a corporation gets wind of Mara and wishes to use it as a means to a new operation. Play as the new Empress of Calidya through an otome game / visual novel rife with romance, ambition and deceit.
Just like a normal visual novel dating sim game you’re getting to know the different pigeons and interacting with them as you divert your time between school and meeting with these birds. Of course, the narrative is what shines here with different plots both lighthearted and at times dark. While the front of the game seems to be pretty comical, those that want a narrative to keep you progressing forward just to see how it all ends won’t want to pass up on this title. Huniepop is one of the games you’ll see pop up quite a bit in recommendation lists and even on Steam for dating simulation games.
I’ve heard of the game randomly freezing, but I don’t remember an error report problem happening so I’m not entirely sure what’s going on. We’ll try to look into it soon though unfortunately our programmer is busy preparing for the release our of current project, Our Life, so results might be slow. I’m not going to double check but when I played that scene I immediately thought it was Nate. You have to go out into town on the weekend and visit the four-leaf clover shop!
Here players take the role of a character that’s had enough of the bustling city life and decides to spend their time fixing up their grandfather’s old farm. Here players are then spending most of their time pulling weeds, tilling the lands, laying down crops, and maintaining their livestock. Come on you knew we had to put this game on here since it just came out in 2019 and chances are if you’re just getting into dating simulators you might have missed the game launch. KFC was putting out quite a few unique marketing attempts to get people into their chain restaurant with this dating simulator being quite unusual. Few other dating sims allow for such a player-driven experience, and fewer more give such a complete look into the lives of the NPCs.
